Chicago Botanic Garden is offering 8, 12-week paid internships to military veterans.

May 22 – August 11, 2023

Positions available in various departments including:

• Education
• Horticulture
• Visitor Services
• Database Management
• Construction and Maintenance

Pay rate:
$18/hour
Additional $50/week travel allowance

What you will do:
Work 32 hours a week in a department suited to specific career path or interests. Additionally, once a week cohort will meet to tour Garden areas, learn skills through projects and receive small-group assistance to develop workplace resourcefulness. 

Who should apply:
All veterans are eligible to apply. Preference is given to post-911 veterans who are seeking interim employment and guidance in creating a plan for transitioning to the civilian workforce.

Please note:
The Chicago Botanic Garden requires all existing employees to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated by October 15, 2021; hires after this date must be fully vaccinated upon hire or may request a medical/religious exemption after an offer is extended.
