Urban Warriors is a grouped based, mentoring program designed to leverage the shared experiences of combat veterans and Chicago youth dealing different forms of adversity. Facilitators engage youth in considering a series of essential questions that guide the process; How do I build and surround myself with healthy, supportive relationships? How can I cope effectively with stress? How can owning my past help me envision my future? What is my responsibility to create a more ideal community?

In the long term, the adaptive coping skills and protective factors that youth develop in the program lead to increased engagement in pro-social activities, such as education, careers, and skill-building programs, and decreased risk behaviors.

If you or anyone you know is the right fit for the program, please lets connect. Attached is the flyer so that you can share with your friends, family, or anyone interested with the program.
