You are being invited to apply to participate in a voluntary research project. The purpose is to understand MST survivors’ experiences, perspectives, and priorities about mental health treatment and research.
The first step involves completing a 20-minute online application. The application may include sensitive questions; therefore, we encourage you to complete the application in a private location. For those selected for the project, the second step involves engaging in two 2-hour Lived Experience Meetings via Zoom video conference with 14 other MST survivors. Risks related to this research include the possibility that you may feel sad or upset when thinking about your life experiences. Benefits related to this research include providing information to help improve MST survivors’ mental health treatment experiences and ensure that future mental health research prioritizes topics most important to MST survivors and practitioners.
