Deciding whether or not to disclose your experience(s) of sexual trauma is often complicated and frightening. The YWCA etropolitan Chicago will be hosting a two-part workshop to support adult survivors through this important decision.
YWCA Metropolitan Chicago recognizes that there are specific barriers and challenges that adult male-identified survivors face in the process of healing from sexual abuse/assault. As a result, male-identified survivors often remain silent about their experiences of sexual trauma due to shame and stigma.
Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies 2-day continuing education training workshop. This workshop is designed to give professionals working with injured veterans, up-to-date information regarding veteran topics including veteran culture, general injury (physical and psychological) and disability awareness, barriers (and solutions) in a fitness facility environment, and adapted exercise programming for these individuals.
Stress Relief for Veterans & Military Service Members.
Bring Balance And Focus Back Into Life * Improve Sleep * Increase Energy * More Control Over Emotions * Greater Resiliency Learn how to use unique breathing practices to release stress from the body & mind. The practices can be used daily for stress reduction and as needed for immediate reduction in anxiety or negative emotions. The workshop is free for veterans & family members.
