Due to continued civic demonstrations throughout the Chicago land area, the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center will operate at a limited capacity and will remain as such until further notice. To ensure the safety of Veterans and staff, this change in service will include all Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Lakeside, Auburn Gresham, Chicago Heights and Crown Point, IN. The emergency department, inpatient services and operating rooms will remain open at the main facility (820 S. Damen Ave). Patients with appointments will be rescheduled. We are proud of our NWVU nurses, and understand fully the challenging, and heartfelt job that they do to save lives while putting themselves and their families at risk. Their healing hands are appreciated for being there when families can not be there. They work many hours in every capacity when they are called to duty.
