It has been the goal of MPMA to progressively expand awareness of the Montford Point Marines by educating and inspiring Americans through the Montford Point Marine (MPMA) National Museum, books, and an on-going PBS documentary with Louis Gossett Jr. The mission is To construct a fitting memorial to honor the 20,000 African American Marines who fought for the "Right to Fight” and to educate and inspire youth and Marines (Past/ Present/Future) and instill the value of perseverance. You are all cordially invited to attend the Montford Point Marine Association Inc, Chicago Chapter 2, Presidents’ Luncheon Fundraiser on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 1pm to 5pm. August 17 NWVU Meeting & Picnic

The next NWVU meeting as agreed at the July meeting will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Dan Ryan Woods at 87th Street just East of Western on the North side of the street Grove 14. The meeting will be at 1:00 p.m. bring your chair or blanket. Kids and family are welcome...it's a fun day but we have to conduct business.
