Where? Jesse Brown VA Medical Center
For LGBT veterans, active duty service members, families, friends, allies and healthcare providers. A collaboration between Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, and the American Veterans for Equal Rights Chicago Chapter (gay veterans).
The purpose of the day-long event is to increase awareness of concerns for LGBT Veterans and provide information on resources, including VA Healthcare.

On Saturday, September 7th, an event titled Operation Do Ask, Do Tell: Keeping Veterans and Service Members Healthy will be held at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 S. Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612. This event is a collaboration between Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital; Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center; and Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. The planning committee also includes many Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT)-focused organizations.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has launched a new hotline — 1-855-VA-WOMEN — to receive and respond to questions from Veterans, their families and caregivers about the many VA services and resources available to women Veterans. The service began accepting calls on April 23, 2013.
