Cook County Veterans Affair, in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and the Brookfield Zoo will host the Vietnam War 50th. commemoration program on Thursday, September 29, 2016. All Vietnam-era veterans participating will receive special recognition of a Vietnam Veteran Lapel pin, Certificate of Appreciation, a Proclamation from President Barack Obama and a resolution from the Cook County Board.
Boots to Business Reboot: Aurora. Registration is now open for Boots to Business Reboot. This two-step entrepreneurial program begins with an in-person course instructed by a leading entrepreneurship professional, where participants learn the fundamentals of business ownership, including evaluating business concepts, legal and financial practices. Participants will meet local SBA partners who can assist them after the course.
