Lovell Federal Health Care Center\, and the American Veterans for Equal Rights Chicago Chapter (gay veterans). \nThe purpose of the day-long event is to increase awareness of concerns for LGBT Veterans and provide information on resources\, including VA Healthcare. Several topics will be covered throughout the day\, including general LGBT health\, transitioning home\, benefits\, and how to advocate for your health. DESCRIPTION:The next NWVU meeting as agreed at the July meeting will be held on Saturday\, August 17\, 2013 at the Dan Ryan Woods at 87th Street just East of Western on the North side of the street Grove 14. The meeting will be at 1:00 p.m. bring your chair or blanket. Kids and family are welcome…it’s a fun day but we have to conduct business. \nWe would like to make a donation to Montford Point Marine Association the sponsor of the picnic who will be providing the food and back to school supplies. I would like to suggest that a donation be sent by the treasurer and the Board will have to decide how much. We can also collect a small donation of $5 or $10 to put back in the account from members. \nAs usual we need to act on this quickly….thanks for your commitment. We also need a count of who will be attending? SOUND OFF PLEASE!
