On behalf of the Board of Directors and members of the National Women Veterans United, we extend our heartfelt “Thank You” to all veterans across the nation and those still serving.

To all of our comrades, as military women veterans we know the sacrifices that you have made and we also understand that there have been challenges for many who returned home “not the same.”  We promise to keep fighting for the benefits and service delivery of compassion and care that you deserve and are entitled to. We can never grow weary or tired to fight any hesitation or resistance to care for the nation’s veterans who answered the call and fought the battles. It is the right thing to do. The promises made for comprehensive health care, to end homelessness and to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and orphan, is a promise that must be kept.

To our Women Comrades,  We also promise to ensure that women veterans are not left out of history and that we preserve the legacy of women who have served land air and sea in the Armed Forces. Although we respect and embrace history as education, it is time to change “him” to “those” who shall have borne the battle and for “their families and survivors.”

Please join us to make this a lifetime commitment until it reflects the co-existence of women serving in the Armed Forces.  www.nwvu.org
