Against Privatization of the VA? Come to the CVO Meeting this Wednesday. The next meeting of CVO will be this Wednesday, February 15th at 7 PM at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 S. Damen in the 2nd Floor Conference Room. We are going to refocus CVO on fighting efforts to privatize the VA.

Christopher “Chris” Gardner's journey from homeless to becoming a successful stockbroker, entrepreneur, and philanthropist was told in the autobiography and movie "The Pursuit of Happyness." He is attending VA homeless Veteran stand downs across the United States to encourage volunteerism and highlight the important role all Americans must play in preventing and ending Veteran homelessness. At his first Stand Down at Chicago's Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Gardner talked about his life, military service and the importance of helping Veterans transition to civilian life.
