Memorial Day Message from National Women Veterans United

memorial_day_nwvu_2020
This Memorial Day will be different for so many families who hold this day sacred. Traditional ceremonies to honor their loved ones, many parents who lost their children to violence and many who lost their war heroes, will be far and few, short, virtual, and in some places not held at all. CORVID 19 is real.

Those who stood on the front lines and served selflessly with the courage to protect our freedoms will be remembered in the hearts, and thoughts of those they left behind. Many cemeteries will be closed on Memorial Day, and I am sure that we are not the only military veterans struggling with this change, and although we understand and support the decisions to keep everyone safe, it is hard.

NWVU has planned several cemetery ceremonies each year for more than a decade on Memorial Day. CORVID 19 is real, and we will not forget the heroism of those men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for this nation. We ask that you REMEMBER THEM TOO………
