Cook County Veterans Affair, in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs and the Brookfield Zoo will host the Vietnam War 50^th. commemoration program on Thursday, September 29, 2016.

All Vietnam-era veterans participating will receive special recognition of a Vietnam Veteran Lapel pin, Certificate of Appreciation, a Proclamation from President Barack Obama and a resolution from the Cook County Board. The commemoration wishes to thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War, including personnel who were held as prisoners of war or listed as missing in action, for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States and to thank and honor the families of these veterans..

Vietnam-era Veterans interested in participating must complete the attached application and return back to veterans.affairs@cookcountyil.gov
