There will be a dinner honoring Female Veterans at the Doubletree Hotel on Monday, November 10th. It is part of “We Honor Veterans” partnered with Dignity Memorial (Weinstein Funeral Homes) and Hospice. Lake County Honor Flight will also be there. The speakers will include: State Rep. Elaine Netkritz from Illinois District 57, Elisabeth Pennix from Women Veterans at the Thompson Center, Major General James J. Mukoyama. and Cyndee Schaffer, author of “Mollie’s War, The Letters of a World War II WAC in Europe.”
