ComEd financial assistance programs are available

Many people are experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19. That is why ComEd offers a variety of financial assistance options to help pay past-due energy bills.

Bill Payment Assistance Program

Income-eligible customers may qualify to receive a one-time payment assistance grant of up to $500 toward past-due balances. We urge you to act today. These funds are only available through December 31, 2020, unless they are exhausted sooner. Learn more
ComEd CARE Programs

In addition to applying for the Bill Payment Assistance Program, customers facing financial hardship, including seniors, veterans and military personnel, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations, could also be eligible for a variety of CARE programs that provide one-time grants toward past-due balances.

Income-eligible customers who express hardship related to COVID-19 may be eligible to receive a one-time grant of up to $300 toward past-due balances through the new ComEd Helping Hand program.
